Can I claim compensation?
If you have been involved in an accident in the last 3 years and it was not your fault and have sustained an injury because of this, you will be entitled to make a claim for compensation. If you were under 18 at the time of the accident the 3 year period starts from your 18th birthday.
How much can I claim?
Each case is different. The amount of compensation you can claim depends on a number of factors, including the extent of your injuries, any loss of income, medical expenses and other financial losses. The solicitor dealing with your claim will be able to advise you further.
How long will my claim take?
Again each case is different and depends entirely on your individual circumstances. Some straightforward road traffic accidents may be settled in a few months while more complex cases could take longer.
How do I start the procedure?
Just give us a call on our Freephone number. Your call will be answered by one of our team who will simply ask you the initial questions over the telephone. We will then, with your permission, pass on your details to one of the solicitors on our panel and a claim will be set up on your behalf.
What will I have to do?
Your solicitor will guide you through the process. You will be expected to co-operate with your solicitor and provide information when requested.
Will I have to visit the solicitor?
No. The solicitor will correspond with you by post or telephone. In some instances they may arrange a home visit with a liaison officer to fill in the initial forms to proceed with your claim and you may ask any questions you may have face to face.
Will I need to go to court?
Our solicitors strive to achieve maximum compensation for all clients without the need to go to court.
